Angelique Boudrot, dau. of Charles dit Mississe Boudrot and Barbe Bonin, had two children out of wedlock.

1. Gilbert Boudrot, b. ca 1806, d. 2 Apr 1868 at Little Anse, was the son of Peter deCarteret and Angelique Boudrot. Source is Gilbert's Civil Death Record. Gilbert married Anastasie "Nathalie" Marchand.
2. Angelique had a second son out of wedlock with an unidentified father. This one was our elusive Barteau/Kenneth Boudrot (which just has to be "Bastien" rather than Barteau.) Barteau married Marguerite Samson, dau of Michel Samson and Marie Martel.

Marguerite Samson was the sister of Anne Samson who married Vincent Marchand and, of course, Barteau and Gilbert were step brothers and that's why the exchange of godparents between these families.

3. Angelique eventually became the second wife of Pierre Marchand, 19 May 1845, son of Louis Telesphore "Jean" Marchand and Anastasie "Nathalie" Biret.

4. Stephen points out that the godparents to Marie Anne Boudrot, dau. of Barteau and Marguerite (Samson) Boudrot were maternal Grandma and Grandma's new husband, Pierre!
