With regards to the Melansons, Cecile Melanson, daughter of Charles Melanson dit La Ramee and Marie Dugas, and widow of Abraham Boudrot of Port Royal, married Jean Belliveau abt. 1703 at PR. This was Jean's second marriage as well. Jean Belliveau's son Jean Jr. (from his first marriage to Jeanne Bourg), b. abt. 1674, married Madeleine Melanson, the sister of Cecile mentioned above. Therefore, the two Melanson sisters, Cecile and Madeleine, married a father and his son, both named Jean Belliveau.
