Cecile and Jean [Belliveau] Sr.'s daughter, Madeleine Belliveau was a young (16 yrs.) bride to widower Jean Fougere, at Port Toulouse abt. 1750. She also had a second marriage to Claude Dugas. Most of us on this list descend from the Belliveau line through Madeleine. Stephen White wrote about her that "the entire population of Petit de Grat in 1771 consisted of Madeleine Belliveau's extended family: her step-children and their offspring, her children, grand children, and great-grand children."
