The Will of Desira Poirier

Arichat Court House, Arichat, Richmond County, Nova Scotia

Date: 18 April 1902*

This is the last will and testament of Desira Poirier of Lower Descousse in
the County of Richmond and Province of Nova Scotia.

1. I hereby appoint Virginia Poirier Widow and Simon Poirier my brother of
Lowere Descousse executors of this my last will and testament.

2. I direct my said executors to pay my funeral expenses out of one hundred
dollars and the balaence of the said hundred dollars they will give to the
Church for masses for the repose of my Soul.

3. I lent Arthure Poirier my son Fifty Dollars with interest at five percent
and holds his note for the sum that I want my said executors to give to him
for his Share of Furniture now in my house.

4. Wilfred Poirier my grandson owe me Sixty Dollars that he will pay to
Amada Poirier for his share of my House as arranged formerly by the Late
Philip Poirier.

5. The balance of my money left in Bank after one hundred Dollars first
mentioned and Doctors Bill deducted of the whole amount is bequeathed to
Virginia Poirier Widow of the late Alfred Poirier.

In wittness where of I have signed and sealed and published and declaired
this instrument as my will at Lower Descousse this eighteenth Day of April
1902.

The Said Desira Poirier at Lower Descousse on the day above mentioned and
published and declaired this same as and for his last will and we at his
request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto
written our names as Setts in witnesses.
