Eleanor A. Pevan, 99, a resident of Lakeside Nursing & Rehabilitation, town of Eagle Point, died Saturday, May 10, 2003 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls.

She was born July 23, 1903 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Mathew and Theresa (Futchek) Pfeiffer. She had worked for Harings Caf/ and Confectionary Store for three years. She married George Pevan on May 22, 1923 at St. Charles Church, Chippewa Falls. She was a member of Notre Dame Church and the P.C.C.W. of Notre Dame.

She is survived by two daughters, Marjorie Dodge of Chippewa Falls and Mavis (Herbert) Hattamer of Cadott; one son, Robert (Nancy) Pevan of Chippewa Falls; six grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents; four brothers, Fred, Carl, Joseph and John Pfeiffer; three sisters, Mary Schuster, Anna Poirier and Theresa Kennedy; and one grandson, Bruce Pevan.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at Notre Dame Church, Chippewa Falls. Rev. James Benzmiller will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2003 and until 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. The P.C.C.W. of Notre Dame Church will recite the Rosary at 4 p.m. and there will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. both on Tuesday at the funeral home.
