after messaging about the house, i went back to that site & saw the article with minnie mombourquette!! i was so excited because i've told my dad (albert boudreau) about seeing this site many, many years & 3 different computers ago, and now i can show this to him!! nice to meet you again cousin! minnie was beatrice cavanaugh boudreau's aunt. i'm very excited to be in contact with you again and honestly was looking at your facebook page when your friend request came in!

How do you connect back to the Kavanagh line? You said Wilfred was your dad's uncle.
yes, i am d/o albert boudreau, s/o beatrice cavanaugh, who was d/o charles henri, minnie & wilfred's brother

This was the photo I took of Daniel Cavanagh's gravestone in 1999. He is our common ancestor.
omg this gave me goosebumps!! thank you for sharing this with me. dad will like to see this too. the years of their births are not the same as what i have, but the years of death are. if i'm correct, you are david peter b. 1946 to joseph piven jr & marie alice geoffrey, d/o pierre geoffroi & emma kavanaugh (marie irma, daniel's &1st wife maria marguerite poirier's daughter
i haven't been able to persue doing genealogy in so long & this was info i had a while ago

Yes, the dates are wrong. There are also records that show his name as Damien. You are correct about my ancestry. Only my sister and I are still living. She is 85, living in CA. I have two sons and 4 grandchildren, all here in AZ. Which sister of Daniel is Carol Souza Bates descended from?
this may sound confusing but i dont know! i know for a fact that we are related on our boudreau side, but, and this is the confusing part, my grandparents found out they were related when they were getting married and that's one of the things i'm trying to figure out, where!

i would love to! thank you! i used to have what i called my 'cheat sheet' on my computer, which was basically an outline. i will have to try & remake it soon now that i have a new computer, and will send it to you

You should use one of the programs to collect your information. Family Tree Builder is free and you can get a free trial on Ancestry.com.
i'm not exactly computer literate when it comes to those things. i did have the old, old family tree maker 20+ years ago which i liked

It is worthwhile getting back into this with a program because it allows you to attach pictures to people and import other people's trees.
what would you recommend that's good for free? i realize you get what you pay for though

Ancestry is the best but you have only a free trial to evaluate how it works, then you must pay for a subscription. Searching for Canadian records requires the international subscription which is quite expensive. Family Tree Builder is a free download, but doesn't have the search capability of Ancestry. http://www.familytreebuilder.com/download

Photo of Charlotte Hamel, who would be your grandmother. Found on Ancestry in a person's tree. She lived in Attleboro.
i'm looking at this & thinking she looked familiar no wonder, lol! charlotte, or lottie, was my great-grandmother

She is Beatrice's mother.
yes. she died before i was born but my dad talked a lot about her. he & his mom,. dad & brother lived with her for a while on cumberland avenue
pretty sure it was cumberland, thats from memory. lottie lived at either 102 or 105 and ironically, i saw an article in the attleboro sun chronical quite a while ago with that address & the person living at the address was named bonin! small world!
