Pvt 1st Class Frank Bigos, Bill's great uncle, died of wounds on 13 November, 1944 near the Battle of Metz during the U.S. 3rd Army's (LTG Patton) Fall-1944 Lorraine Campaign. His sister, Frances Guevremont was able to visit him at the U.S. Cemetery in Henri-Chappelle, France, 58 years after she farewell'd him in 1941. No movie music in the background, yet more emotionally powerful than any fiction. Rest in peace Uncle Frank, you have earned it.
