McNAMARA, Clara Mary - 100, died Thursday, January 8, 2004, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Evanstan, she was a daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary Louise (Cogswell) McNamara. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish, Lower River Inhabitants. She is survived by daughters, Stella (Leonard) Sampson, Louisdale; Ellen (Roy) Hancock, Winnipeg; Joan Campbell, Halifax; Lorraine Arsenault, Halifax, Hilda (William) Bourgeois, Halifax; sons, James (Irma) Newcastle, N. B.; Gerald, Halifax; William "Billy", Halifax; Harold, Halifax; Michael (Janet), Halifax; 44 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, William James; son Maurice; two sons in infancy; sisters, Stella MacInnis, Sister Ellen MacNamara, CND; Louise Johnson; brother, John. Visitation will be held 2-9 p.m. Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday in St. Francis de Sales Church, Lower River Inhabitants, Rev. Allan MacPhee officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Riverdale Community Hall or Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston.
