Edith Sylvia, 87, of Orchard Ave, Barrington , died Sunday, Jan 11, 1998, at Kent County Memorial Hospital in Warwick. Sh was the wife of the late Anthony Sylvia.
Born in Bristol, a daughter of the late Philip and Melvina (Simmons) Pevin, she lived in Barrington most of her life. She was a nurse at RI Hospital for many years before retiring. Mrs. Sylvia leaves a daughter, Barbara Higgins of Warwick, a broher Frederick Pevin of Florida, a sister, Florence Pinhero of Bristol, and three grandchildren. Her funeral was held Tuesday at St. Alexander’s Church in Warren, followed by burial in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Warren.
