Louisdale - The death occurred on February 22, of Willard Jeffrey, 48, a beloved husband and father. Born in Louisdale, he was the son of Charles and the late Eva (Samson) Jeffrey. He passed away at home where he had been ill for the past several months. He was a member of the united Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 3268, Port Hawkesbury Branch. Besides his wife, the former Bernadette Boudreau, he leaves to mourn, a son, Carl. Also surviving are his father, Charles Jeffrey, Louisdale; five brothers and six sisters; Leo, Norman, Louisdale; Albert, Kempt Road; Arthur and Joseph of Halifax; Beatrice (Mrs. Gerald Burt), Josephine (Mrs. Arthur Joyce), Kathleen (Mrs. Joseph Venedam), all of Louisdale; Mary (Mrs. Joseph Samson), Rita (Mrs. Charles Marcotte), of Halifax; Margaret (Mrs. Vincent Messervey), Montreal. He was predeceased by his mother and a brother, Alfred. Funeral Mass was celebrated by Fr. C.P. Gerrior, assisted by Fr. Dan Doucet, from St. Louis Church of Saturday, February 25. Two nephews, Andrew and Roy Jeffrey delivered the reading and the psalm. Pallbearers were Blair Boudreau, Francis Venedam, Ronnie Jeffrey, Donnie Burt, David Joyce and Bobby Samson. The funeral was under the direction of Boudreau's Funeral Home of Arichat. Interment in St. Louis Cemetery.
