Fille à Marier per Gagné for David D8:

Marie-Noëlle Landeau was baptized 02 November 1638 in Jauzé (arrondissement of Mamers, diocese of Le Mans), Maine, the daughter of plowman Jean Landeau and Marie Aubert. After losing both parents, Marie-Noelle left for Canada in 1659, at age 20.

On 12 August 1659, Marie-Noëlle married Jean Beaudoin or Baudouin in Trois-Rivières. Their marriage contract, presumably drawn up sous seing prive, was ratified by notary Ameau 24 June 1660. Marie-Noëlle could not sign it, but her husband could, signing "Jean Baudoin". Jean was baptized 27 May 1635 in Courcival (arrondissement of Mamers, diocese of Le Mans), Maine, the son of Jacques Beaudoin or Baudoin and Madeleine Pichon. He is the brother of filleà marier Madeleine Beaudoin and René Beaudoin, who married Fille du Roi Marie Raclos. Jean and Marie-Noëlle had two children. Son Louis was baptized 08 April 1661 at Trois-Rivières Sadly, Jean Beaudoin died at Trois-Rivières shortly before 22 April 1662, when daughter Madeleine was baptized posthumously at Trois-Rivières.

On 09 June 1663, Marie-Noëlle married Louis Tétreau in Trois-Rivières. Neither spouse could sign the marriage contract drawn up 23 January by notary Ameau. Louis was born about 1635 in the parish of Saint-Martin in Louin (arrondissement of Parthenay, diocese of Poitiers), Poitou, the son of Mathurin Tétreau or Tétrault and Marie Bernard. He arrived in Trois-Rivières about 1660 and became a farmer, leasing the Jesuits' land at Trois-Rivières on 15 October 1662 for a period of four years.

Louis and Marie-Noëlle had nine children. Daughter Marie was baptized 08 March 1664 at Trois-Rivières, followed by Louis' confirmation 22 May 1664 and son Claude's baptism on 23 April 1666. Unfortunately, Louis Beaudoin - Marie-Noëlle's son with her first husband - died some time before the 1666 census, which finds Marie-Noëlle and family at Trois-Rivières. In the next year's census, they can be found at Cap-de-La-Madeleine. Son Louis (Tétreau) was born about 1669, followed by Jacques (about 1672), Daniel (about 1674), Marie-Françoise (about 1677) and Joseph (about 1678). The family had moved to Champlain by the 1681 census. Michel was baptized there on 24 April 1681, followed by Jean on 25 October 1683. Sadly, Michel died and was buried 10 July 1684 at Champlain.

Louis Tétreau died 22 June 1699 and was buried the same day at Champlain. This same-day burial suggests that he was a victim of the unidentified epidemic that struck the colony that year, since the usual 24 hour waiting period was not observed. Marie-Noëlle Landeau was buried 2, September 1706 at Montréal.
