Antoinette Meunier was born about 1637 in the parish of Saint-Pierre in Autun, Burgundy, the daughter of Antoine Meunier and Anne Lamy. Left a widow by maître paneur Jacques Baro, Antoinette left for Canada in 1665, at about age 28.

On 09 November 1665, notary Latouche drew up a mariage contract between Antoinette and Jacques Aubert at Champlain, though neither spouse could sign it. Jacques was born about 1638 in the parish of Sainte-Marguerite in Duclair (arrondissement and archdiocese of Rouen), Normandy, the son of Georges Aubert and Marguerite Ossanne. The couple settled at Saint-Charles-des-Roches (Grandness), where daughter Antoinette was born about 1666, followed by Marie-Madeleine (about 1669) and Marie-Anne (about 1671). On 20 March 1683, Jacques bought the seigneurie of Grondins from the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec. Jacques had an enfant naturel named Marie-Madeleine with Marguerite Renaud (Pierre Renaud & Françoise Desportes), but it is not known if this was while Antoinette was still alive.

Antoinette Meunier died 25 February 1697 and was buried the next day at Grondines. Jacques Aubert died 19 July 1710 and was buried at Grondines the next day. On 03 November 1717, the bodies of Jacques Aubert and Antoinette Meunier were transferred to the new church at Grondines
