Fille du Roi per Gagné for David:
Marie Hué was born about 1644 in the parish of Saint-Vivien in Rouen, Normandy, the daughter of Marc Hue and Marie Crespin. She came to Canada in 1667 at about age 23, bringing with her goods worth an estimated 300 lives for her dowry.
On 18 October 1667, notary Becquet drew up a marriage contract between Marie and Adrien Lacroix, but it was annulled and on 07 January 1668, Marie married Jean Boesme at Québec City. Marie could not sign the marriage contract drawn up 07 December 1667 by notary Duquet, but her husband could. Jean was born about 1641 in Saint-Porchaire in Poitiers, Poitou, the son of Pierre Boesmé or Boisme and Andrée Bounet. He arrived in Canada 25 May 1664 aboard the ship Noir from La Rochelle. On 25 February 1665, Jean received a land grant at Charlesbourg, where he and Marie settled and had nine children. Daughter Elisabeth was baptized 23 November 1668 at Québec City, followed by Pierre (19 March 1670), Jean (03 January 1672) and Charles (22 January 1674). Sadly, four-year-old Pierre was buried at Québec City 18 April 1674. Marie-Madeleine was baptized at Québec City 02 May 1676, followed by Marguerite (26 February 1678). Catherine-Angélique was baptized 12 December 1679 at Charlesbourg, followed by Jean (16 October 1681, Québec) and Claude-Gabriel (11 April 1684, Charlesbourg). Fifteen-year-old Jean was buried 18 April 1674 at Québec City.
Jean Boesme died and was buried 13 July 1703 at Charlesbourg, probably a victim of the smallpox epidemic. Marie Hué died 19 October 1716 at the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec.
