Here are the latest on the parents of Antoine Pivin. It looks like Thomas, spouse of Marie-Joseph Dupuis, was also called Ange. I could not find any Thomas Pivain anywhere but I found Marie-Joseph Dupuis who married Ange Pivain on Oct 25 1767 in Charlesbourg, Québec. I also found that Ange is the son of Pierre and his first wife Charlotte-Thérèse Giroux (2nd wife was Marie-Françoise Berthelot). It appears that Thomas and Ange are the first names for the same person.
