From Gagné:
Geneviève Térillon was born about 1653 in the parish of Saint-Nurel (or Saint-Nizier) in Troyes, Champagne, the daughter of Nicolas Térillon and Barbe Gauvre or Jeanne Veriot. She came to Canada in 1672 at about age 19, bringing with her goods worth an estimated 200 livres for her dowry.
On 04 October 1672, notary Becquet drew up a marriage contract between Geneviève (who could not sign in) and François Lefay, but it was annulled and on 04 July 1673, Genevieve married
Pierre Joly dit Delbec in Québec City and was given the Kings Gift of 50 livres. Pierre was born about 1651 in Bruges (Flanders), Belgium, the son of Armand Joly and Jeanne Fezier. He and Geneviève baptized a daughter at Saint-Augustin, 09 April 1674, but the girl was buried the same day at Québec City before receiving a name. Marguerite was baptized 31 December 1676 at Sorel, [
Julien (1677)], followed by Pierre (11 March 1678) and Louis (02 July 1681). Sadly, Marguerite died before the 1681 census, which finds the family at Berthier-en-haut. Jacques was baptized 07 September 1684 at Sorel, followed by Bernard (26 September 1689, Montreal), Marie-Anne (born about 1691), Geneviève (08 February 1693, Sorel) and Marc-Antoine (married Marie Anne Boucher, 1721).
Pierre Joly dit Delbec died on the Île Dupas between 29 August 1712 and 29 October 1720. Geneviève Térillon was a midwife in 1730 and died some time after.
