Charlotte Morin was born about 1646, though her origins in France are unknown. She came to Canada in 1668, at about age 22.
Some time about 1668, Charlotte married Pierre Letendre dit Laliberté at Sorel or the seigneurie of Dautray. Though no marriage contract has been found, it is known that neither spouse could sign their names. A. woodworker, Pierre was born about 1636, though his origins are also unknown. He came to Canada as a volunteer. Pierre and Charlotte settled at Sorel, where daughter Geneviève was born about 1669, followed by Pierre about 1671. The family can be found in the 1681 census living in the seigneurie of Dautray.
Pierre Letendre died at the Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal and was buried 17 May 1710 at Sorel, possibly a victim of that years measles epidemic. Charlotte Morin was buried 01 March 1714 at Sorel.
