Fille à Marier per Gagné for Lovina L9:

Marie Pavie was born about 1637 in Le Château-d'Oléron on the ile d'Oléron (arrondissement of Rochefort, diocese of La Rochelle), Saintonge, the daughter of Christophe Pavie and Madeleine Audet. 163 She enlisted to go to Canada on 10 April 1657 in the office of notary Cherbonnier at La Rochelle. Marie arrived at Québec City on 21 June 1657 aboard the Taureau.

On 19 August 1657, notary Audouart drew up a marriage contract between Marie and Jean Migneron dit Petit Jean at Québec City, though neither spouse could sign it. The date of the wedding is not known. Jean was born about 1636 in Mougon (arrondissement of Niort, diocese of Poitiers), Poitou, the son of Pierre Migneron and Marie Guilminette. He was confirmed 06 June 1661 at Sillery.

Jean and Marie had seven children. Daughter Marguerite was baptized 24 October 1658 at Québec City, followed by Elisabeth on 12 May 1660. Marie-Anne was baptized at Sillery 17 March 1661, followed by Marie-Angélique on 15 January 1664 and Jean-François, who was born about 1666. The 1666 census finds the family at eh Cöte Saint-Jean et Saint-François in Québec, but they are listed at Cap Rouge (Sillery) in the next year's census. Son Sébastien was baptized at Sillery 19 May 1668, followed by Geneviève on 26 June 1670. Sadly, Marie-Angélique died some time between the 1667 census and the 1681 census, which finds the family at the Côte Saint-François-Xavier in Sillery.

Marie is noted as a patient at the Hôtel-Dieu de Ouébec on several occasions: 26 May 1691, 08 August 1691, 05 May 1694 and 01 December 1696. Jean was hospitalized there for 16 days in February 1699. Jean Migneron dit Petit Jean died 16 December 1700 and was buried the next day at Sainte-Foy. Marie Pavie was buried 15 May 1713 at Sainte-Foy.
