From Gagné:

Marguerite Peuvrier was born about 1640 in the parish of Saint-Séverin in Paris, the daughter of Nicolas Peuvrier, attorney for the Parliament of Paris and Marguerite Bourgeois. She came to Canada in 1663 at about age 23, bringing with her a dowry of goods estimated at 300 livres.

On 23 October 1663, Marguerite married Jacques Meneux dit Châteauneuf in Château-Richer. Both spouses signed the marriage contract drawn up 07 October by notary Duquet. A surgeon, Jacques was born about 1640 in Château-Giron (arrondissement and diocese of Rennes), Brittany, the son of merchant Jean Meneux or Meneu and Jeanne Trochon. He and Marguerite settled at Château-Richer, where daughter Anne was baptized 01 September and buried 08 September 1664, followed by Jacques, baptized 10 November 1665 at Château-Richer. The family then moved to Sainte-Famille, Île d'Orléans, where François was baptized 28 August 1667, followed by Marie-Madeleine (born about 1669), Joseph (25 July 1671), René (24 December 1673) and Françoise (21 April 1676). Angélique was baptized at Sainte-Famille 19 March 1678, followed by Reine (30 August 1680) and Catherine (25 October 1682). François died after the 1681 census.

Jacques Meneux dit Châteauneuf died 19 December 1690 at the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec. On 09 October 1696, Marguerite married Guillaume Lizot in Québec City. Guillaume signed the marriage contract drawn up the day of the wedding by notary Roger. He was born about 1645 in the parish of Saint-Pierre in La Gravelle (today: Montviette, arrondissement and diocese of Lisieux), Normandy, the son of Robert Lizot and Catherine Joanne. He was confirmed 03 June 1664 at Québec City and can be found in the 1666 census as the servant of Jean Pelletier at Beauport. Guillaume was previously (1670) married to Anne Pelletier (daughter of his former employer), with whom he had nine children. Guillaume and Marguerite settled at Rivière-Ouelle, but had no children. Guillaume Lizot died at Rivière-Ouelle between 12 January 1705 and 16 August 1707. Marguerite Peuvrier died 10 January 1709 at the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec and was buried the next day.
