Jane Sclama
Jane Marie Sclama, 72, passed away August 17, 2022 at the Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT.
She was born in Fall River, MA September 23, 1949, and grew up in Bristo, RI. Jane was the daughter of Joseph Ferreira and Lovina Ferreira and the sister of Joseph Ferreira and Lovina Pivin. She attended Rhode Island College where she graduated with a Masters in education and then went on to become a 3rd grade teacher for the Bristol/Warren School System.
Jane was married to Joseph Anthony Sclama, who passed away September 11, 2015. Jane is survived by their two children, Brian Sclama of Cranston, RI and Lisa Sclama of Niantic, CT and her sister Lovina Pivin of Pheonix, AZ. Jane Sclama also leaves behind her two grandchildren, Noah and Caleb Sclama.
There will be a service held to remember Jane Sclama, Saturday,August 27th at St Agnes Chruch, 22 High Street, Niantic, CT, at 11:00 AM. All are welcome to join the family after the service for appetizers and refreshments at Filomena’s located at 262 Boston Post Rd, Waterford, CT.
