Colt Memorial, building, all in marble. The photo was taken looking South on Bradford Street, East of the main street, Hope Street. I wonder who these people are. Arthur Jeffrey family, my mother's half-brother whom we were totally unaware of for her lifetime spent mostly in Bristol. Thanks for posting. She is the sister of Lena Marchand who recently passed away in Bristol. Bertha's parents were William Felix "Wilfred" Marchand and Anne Jeanne Boudreau, married in Arichat, 25 Jul, 1910. Their parents would have been Marie Louise and Desire Marchand. They left Cape Breton for work in the US at a young age. My grandfather, Peter Jeffrey worked there in 1902 and died in 1906. My grandmother never returned to NS, but her half-brother, Wilfred Kavanagh, did many times.
