Hi Eileen,
I believe there were only 2 children in this family; Marie Elizabeth and
Edmund/Edouard/Amand. Here are the census returns.

12-15 SAMPSON ELIZABETH F 38 M
13-16 SAMPSON DUSSITAE M 25
12-15 SAMPSON ELIZABETH F 15
12-15 SAMPSON EDWARD M 13
---------------------------------------------------
1881 Census:
Census Place: River Inhabitants, Richmond, Nova Scotia, Canada
Dist 7 SubDist D Page 47 Family 200
Supien SAMPTSON M M 51 Occ: Fisherman
Elizabeth SAMPTSON F M 47
Edmond SAMPTSON M 22 Occ: Fisherman

Docite would have been a son of Desire, Cyprien's brother.
Elizabeth would be a child of Elizabeth Furlong, who he married RB in 1861,
but who would Elizabeth Samson, age 78 be, in the 1881 census., as for
Elizabeth in the 1871 census ,she died 1877.
Could Edward and Edmund or Armand be the same person, I have Elizabeth in
the NDA death records, and Edmund in the Louisdale death records, but no
trace of Edward, either in dob or dod. And Edward in 1871 census but Edmund
in 1881 census.
