Obituary:

Methuen, MA- Rene C. Boucher, 84, of Methuen and also of Fort Meyers, Fl, died Friday July 3, 2009 at his daughter’s home.

Born in Amesbury, MA to Laurent and Blanche (McKenzie) Boucher, Rene was educated in the Methuen School System and a graduate of Methuen High School. During World War II he served his country in the Navy.

For 16 years, Rene worked as a printer for Press Printing in Fort Meyers, FL before retiring in 1988.

Rene was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Lodge #4027 and the Catholic Order of Foresters. After his retirement, Rene would spend his time making keepsake furniture for his family and friends.

Rene will be sadly missed by his wife of 51 years, Madeline T. (Neiderer), his 5 daughters, Suzann and her husband Harold Tinney of Reading, Martha and her husband Raymond Sierpina of Bradford, Julie and her husband Alan Cormier of Saco, ME, Jeannette and her husband Steve Osgood of Methuen, and Mary Murphy of Boxford, 2 sons, Joseph and his wife Michele Boucher of Annapolis, MD, and Peter and his wife Ann Boucher of Vancouver, WA. He also leaves behind, his brother Albert Boucher of Nashua, NH, 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday July 7, 2009 from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St. in Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock, at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen with Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lawrence.
