Louise C. (Salcone) Pivin, 88, of 551 Apt. A Northeast 57 Court, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and formerly of Hope Street, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at her home in Florida. She was the wife of the late Wilfred Pivin and the late Vincent Martino.

Born in Bristol, a daughter of the late Peter and Victoria (Marcalango) Salcone, she was a resident of Ft. Lauderdale for 30 years. She had previously lived in Bristol for most of her life.

Mrs. Pivin was a cook and operated the Hope Diner on Hope Street with her late husband, Vincent Martino, for seven years, before retiring in 1961. She previously worked as a burler for the former Collins and Aikman Company, formerly of Bristol, for several years. Mrs. Pivin was a communicant of St. Clement’s Church, Ft. Lauderdale, and a former communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

She leaves a brother, Matthew J. Salcone, two sisters, Theresa M. Mancieri and Suzanne Falcoa, all of Bristol, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the mother of the late Joseph Martino and sister of the late Anthony V. and Paul J. Salcone and Mary D. Sansone.

Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street.
