3I have hi-lited Mathieu because he is the first person of the surname "SAMSON" recorded as having taken up land in L'Ardoise. This information Can be found amoung the records at the Nickolas Deney's museum in St. Peters, of one Fr. Lesions, a Roman Catholic Missionary priest of that era, the year being 1747.
